Susan Benson has designed for the theatre, opera and ballet in Canada, the United States, Australia and Europe. She trained in England receiving an ATD from the West of England College of Art. Before emigrating to Canada she worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and BBC Television. She was Head of Design for John Hirsch at the Stratford Festival, Ontario and designed for the company from 1974 to 2006. She has won many awards for her stage designs, including 8 Dora Mavor Moore Awards and an ACE Award for "The Mikado" on the Arts and Entertainment Channel. |
